About the event

A Learning Luncheon and social / networking event for Central Ohio Mental Health Professionals, hosted by Kaela Rae Vance LPCC-S, spotlighting featured presenter, Jean Tidd, MSW, LISW-S, ADHD-CCSP, SAP and Holly Mills, MSW, LSW, from Badass ADHD Coaching. At this luncheon, Jean and Holly will be providing us with a presentation entitled "Misdiagnosed and Misunderstood: ADHD, RSD, & Diagnostic Clarity".

About the Luncheon Co-Presenter - Jean Tidd, MSW, LISW-S, ADHD-CCSP, SAP:

Jean is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider with over 27 years of experience as a therapist and coach specializing in ADHD, executive functioning, and emotional regulation. Diagnosed with ADHD herself while in graduate school, Jean brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her work—empowering clients to stop fighting their brains and instead build a life that works with their neurodivergence. In addition to her clinical work, Jean spent 20 years teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs at The Ohio State University, and has become a trusted expert and advocate in the ADHD community. Her lived experience raising children with ADHD continues to shape her compassionate, strength-based approach.


About the Luncheon Co-Presenter - Holly Mills, MSW, LSW:

Holly is a licensed social worker specializing in supporting individuals navigating life with ADHD and the wide-ranging impacts it can have on relationships, identity, and daily functioning. With a strengths-based approach, Stacey helps clients embrace their unique neurodivergence and channel it toward empowerment, confidence, and growth. She holds a B.A. in Humanities from The University of Oklahoma and an MSW from The Ohio State University with a focus on mental health and substance misuse. Drawing on over 15 years of experience in education—including elementary, higher, and outdoor education—Stacey brings a grounded, compassionate perspective to her work with both youth and adults living with ADHD.


About the Luncheon Host - Kaela Rae Vance, LPCC-S:

Kaela is a Central Ohio Therapist whose clinical focus areas are grief and trauma. As a result, Kaela often sees patients also struggling with Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD. Kaela is trained in numerous modalities, including CTG, TF-CBT, and EMDR. Kaela honed her skills in grief and trauma counseling through her experience at the Family Support Program within Nationwide Children's Hospital Big Lots Behavioral Health Services as a Pediatric Trauma Therapist. Prior to her tenure at NCH, Kaela gained valuable experience at Columbus Springs, as an In-Patient Clinical Counselor. In spring of 2022, Kaela launched and grew her private counseling practice in Dublin, Ohio, which in January 2024 evolved into Teal Saguaro Wellness.

Luncheon Itinerary:

  • 10:45am - Check-In:

    • Brief social time as people arrive.

    • Brief welcome and introduction.

    • Pickup lunch to eat during presentation.

  • 11:00am - CEU Presentation: "Misdiagnosed and Misunderstood: ADHD, RSD, & Diagnostic Clarity"

    • Brief Q&A time with the presenter (Come prepared with a couple brief questions for the presenter!).

  • 1pm, Sign-Out and Event conclusion.


CEU Event Description:

In this presentation, Jean and Holly will explore how ADHD and Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) are often misdiagnosed or misunderstood, and will provide insights to improve diagnostic clarity and compassionate support for neurodivergent individuals.


CEU Event Objectives:

  • Differentiate between ADHD, Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD), and other commonly misdiagnosed mental health conditions.

  • Recognize the unique ways ADHD and emotional dysregulation present across age groups and settings.

CEU Event Credits:

At the completion of this event and a brief CEU evaluation, attendee will receive a certificate of completion for 1.5 CEU credits. CEU credits can only be awarded to individuals who pre-purchase the CEU option when RSVPing for the event, check-in prior to the event beginning, check-out at the conclusion of the event, and complete the required CEU evaluation.


Food & Beverage:

A light snack and bottled water will be provided to attendees, and McAlisters Deli (you may make an entrée selection when you RSVP) will be provided to those who choose the lunch option when RSVP-ing.

Please note, RSVP is required for this event, we're unable to accommodate walk-in guests due to seating and catering limitations. Unless otherwise approved, attendance is contingent upon attendee being employed in the mental health field. If an registrant is found to not meet these prerequisites for this event, the registrant will be contacted and asked not to attend.
