CEU Event Objectives:

  • Describe the current psychedelic-assisted therapy landscape and explain ketamine’s role as an FDA-approved medication being used in emerging therapeutic models, including KAP.

  • Define Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and identify the biological and psychological mechanisms through which ketamine may support neuroplasticity, emotional processing, and therapeutic insight.

  • Differentiate between common routes of ketamine administration — including sublingual, intramuscular, intravenous, and intranasal/esketamine — and discuss how each may relate to clinical treatment settings.

  • Identify appropriate candidates, contraindications, and safety considerations for KAP, including psychological readiness, medical screening, substance use concerns, and risk mitigation strategies.
