A Learning Luncheon and social / networking event for Central Ohio Mental Health Professionals, hosted by Kaela Rae Vance LPCC-S, LLC, spotlighting featured presenter, Dr. Rachel Nelms, ATR-BC, LPCC, LCPC, from Capital University. At this luncheon, Rachel will be providing us with a presentation entitled "Re-learning the World: Building Resilience and Cultivating Community After a Loss".
About the Luncheon Presenter - Dr. Rachel Nelms, ATR-BC, LPCC, LCPC:
Rachel is an Assistant Professor of Art Therapy at Capital University and a board-certified art therapist & licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio & Illinois. With extensive experience across clinical & academic settings, she specializes in grief, trauma, & the therapeutic use of creative expression. Her research focuses on disenfranchised grief & the connection between grief & aggression, with recent work published in the Wiley Handbook of Art Therapy addressing the intersection of grief & aggression through a social interactionist & existential lens.
