This continuing education course explores clinical strategies for effectively supporting survivors of narcissistic abuse through a trauma-informed, evidence-informed lens. Participants will deepen their understanding of narcissistic personality traits, survivor coping mechanisms, and the complex relational dynamics that develop in these contexts. The course integrates real-world case examples, psychoeducation tools, and boundary-setting interventions to help clinicians recognize trauma bonding, dissociation, and defense patterns in clients. Emphasis is placed on guiding survivors toward self-awareness, empowerment, and emotional regulation, while maintaining therapeutic boundaries and preventing countertransference. Participants will leave with practical interventions and insights to enhance outcomes for clients navigating recovery from narcissistic relationships. CEU Course Objectives: 1) Identify key characteristics and behavioral patterns of individuals with narcissistic traits and their impact on survivors’ emotional and relational functioning. 2) Apply trauma-informed interventions to support clients in rebuilding self-concept, establishing healthy boundaries, and recognizing trauma bonding dynamics. 3) Integrate evidence-informed strategies to manage countertransference, foster client empowerment, and enhance clinical outcomes when treating survivors of narcissistic abuse. At the completion of this online course and a brief CEU evaluation, attendee will receive a certificate of completion for 1 CEU credit. CEU Credit will be provided through Strongblossom, Inc., an approved provider of continuing education by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board for counselors, social workers, and marriage/family therapists.
