About
In this CEU presentation, Aaron shares his practical and research-informed approach to Eclectic Relationship Therapy, demonstrating how combining multiple evidence-based models can strengthen outcomes in couples counseling. Drawing from the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Developmental Model, Discernment Counseling, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and sex therapy frameworks, Aaron explores how each contributes unique tools for communication, attachment repair, and emotional safety. Through real-world examples, training insights, and discussion of assessment tools like Prepare/Enrich, he illustrates how an integrative approach allows therapists to tailor interventions to each couple’s needs—whether navigating high-conflict dynamics, rebuilding trust after betrayal, or fostering connection and shared meaning. CEU Course Objectives: 1) Identify key evidence-based approaches commonly integrated in eclectic relationship therapy practice. 2) Describe how combining Gottman, EFT, and attachment-based methods enhances couples outcomes. 3) Apply integrative assessment and communication tools to support diverse relationship dynamics.
