Something Special Is Growing This Spring

Dec 15, 2025

ree

For the past several years, one of the things we have cherished most at Teal Saguaro Wellness has been creating spaces for connection. Spaces where mental health professionals can step out of the day-to-day demands of clinical work, gather with peers, learn something new, and simply be human together.

If you’ve attended one of our professional luncheons over the past three years, you already know this. These gatherings have become a meaningful rhythm for us—a chance to bring counselors, therapists, and wellness professionals together around shared curiosity, shared values, and shared purpose.

What started as a simple idea—to create a welcoming space for learning and connection—has grown into something truly special.

A Look Back: Three Years of Learning, Connection, and Community

Over the past three years, Teal Saguaro Wellness has had the privilege of hosting regular professional luncheons for mental health clinicians in Central Ohio. Each luncheon has been intentionally designed to offer more than just continuing education. Yes, learning has always been part of the experience—but so has conversation, relationship-building, laughter, and a sense of belonging.

These events have brought together professionals from a wide range of backgrounds and specialties: therapists in private practice, clinicians working in agencies, school-based professionals, students, supervisors, and seasoned providers alike. What unites them is a shared commitment to thoughtful, ethical, and compassionate mental health care.

At each luncheon, we’ve seen something powerful happen. People arrive as colleagues, and they leave as connections. Ideas are exchanged. Referrals are formed. Isolation softens. Burnout eases—if only for an afternoon—through shared understanding and mutual support.

In a profession that often asks us to hold space for others, these luncheons have offered a chance for clinicians themselves to be held by community.

Why We Keep Showing Up

Hosting these events has never been about checking a box or filling a calendar. For us, it’s about living out one of our core beliefs: mental health professionals need community just as much as their clients do.

The work of counseling, therapy, and wellness care can be deeply meaningful—but it can also be heavy. It asks us to sit with grief, trauma, uncertainty, and pain. Without intentional spaces for connection and renewal, it’s easy for clinicians to feel isolated or depleted.

Our luncheons have been one way we try to counter that. They’re a reminder that learning doesn’t have to be rushed, that professional growth can happen alongside relationship-building, and that meaningful conversations don’t always need an agenda.

We’ve watched these gatherings evolve organically over time. Attendance has grown. Conversations have deepened. And more than once, we’ve heard attendees say, “I wish there were more spaces like this.”

We’ve been listening.

Looking Ahead: Something Bigger Is Taking Shape

As Teal Saguaro Wellness has grown, so has our vision for what these professional gatherings can become. Over the past year especially, we’ve felt a gentle but persistent nudge toward something more expansive—something that builds on the foundation of our luncheons while offering even greater opportunity for learning, collaboration, and inspiration.

This spring, we’re taking a meaningful step in that direction.

We’re currently planning a larger professional event designed specifically for mental health counselors and helping professionals—one that brings together many of the elements our community has loved over the years, while expanding the scope, depth, and reach of the experience.

While we’re keeping the details under wraps just a bit longer, we can share that this upcoming spring event will include multiple presentations by an incredible lineup of presenters, each bringing their own expertise, perspective, and passion to the table.

It’s being thoughtfully designed as a space for clinicians to:

  • Learn from respected voices in the field

  • Explore integrative and holistic approaches to mental health care

  • Connect with colleagues in meaningful, authentic ways

  • Step back from the noise and reconnect with purpose

In many ways, it feels like a natural next chapter—one that honors where we’ve been while opening the door to what’s possible.

More to Come on New Year’s

We know anticipation can be both exciting and a little uncomfortable—but we promise, it won’t be long.

We’ll be officially sharing more details about this upcoming spring event on New Year’s Day. That’s when we’ll begin to reveal the theme, the vision, and more about what attendees can expect.

Until then, we wanted to offer this glimpse behind the scenes—to share our gratitude for the community that has grown around our luncheons, and our excitement about what’s coming next.

If you’ve attended one of our events before, thank you for being part of this journey. If you haven’t yet, we hope you’ll consider joining us as this next chapter unfolds.

Something meaningful is growing.

Something rooted in connection.

Something created for those who care deeply for others.

We can’t wait to share more with you soon. 🌿
